Meet Our Music Leadership

Jordan Bennett
​Choral Music Director

​    With the chorus since Fall 2009, Jordan served as assistant director from Fall 2013 to Spring 2018. A Jonesboro native, he earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Arkansas Tech University in 2008 and a Master of Music from the University of Central Arkansas in 2010.
​     Aside from directing the Conway Men’s chorus, Jordan is a choral scholar for the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock as well as an active member of the Arkansas Chamber Singers. He also is one of the founding members of the Link Ensemble, Arkansas’ first professional vocal ensemble, which is based in Fayetteville.  ​
    Jordan lives with his wife, Grace, and their dog, Chloe.

Paul Bradley
​Accompanist

     Paul started playing the piano before he was able to read. A Conway native, he grew up playing in church. He has accompanied various groups throughout high school and college, and continues to do so to this day.
     He is a University of Central Arkansas alumni, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelors of Business Administration, and in 2010 with a Masters in Business Administration.
​     Paul currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Conway Regional Health System.

​     Paul lives with his wife, Meredith, and their three children. ​​

Mike McCullars,
​President
​

     Mike (Baritone) is a charter member of the Chorus singing at every concert from the start. He has also been a board member since Fall 2005, serving currently as the Board President since Fall 2009. 
     He is the retired Director of Research and Special Projects at AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network), but is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Communication at the University of Central Arkansas.
     Mike has a long music background of singing in church and community choirs, from childhood to the present.  He has performed in many musical theater productions through the years, including favorites “Oliver”, “Evita”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “1776”, and “Man of La Mancha”. Mike played trumpet in high school and college, and earned a Minor in Music Education as well as a BSE and MA in Speech and Theatre Education from (now) Missouri State University.  
​     Mike joined the chorus because of his love of singing, for the fellowship with the men, and to give back to others the joy of music. As the Chorus Motto says, “Let all men sing s
o that music never dies!”​​

Jim Lane, Board Member &
​Baritone Section Leader

     James is a practicing Conway Attorney serving as a part-time public defender, exclusively in juvenile court in the Trial Public Defender Division of the 20th Judicial Division of Arkansas.  

     He was a Charter Member of the Conway Men’s Chorus in the Fall of 1998 singing at every concert since that time. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for about two decades. 

     He has also served as the Section Leader of the Baritone Section since the Fall of 2004.

​Kelly Boswell,
​Vice President

     Kelly (Baritone) has been an active Chorus member since 2005 and board member since Spring 2010 including serving for several years as a section leader. 
     He is a retired television engineer with
AETN (Arkansas Educational Television Network), and an Amateur Radio operator.
​     Kelly came to a Chorus performance and said he "enjoyed it so much" he knew he had to join! He loves singing and enjoys fellowship with the other men.

Greg Montgomery,
Tenor I Section Leader

      Greg has been the Tenor 1 section leader since the Fall of 2018, having been with chorus for most seasons since the Fall of 2006. He also been active in his church choir.
     He grew up in Greenbrier, but has lived in Conway for nearly two decades. He currently works as Information Technology Business Systems Analyst at Merkle Incorporated. 
​     Greg's education includes a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, with a Minor in Music and an MBA, all from UCA.
     Greg enjoys anything music related, as well as softball, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife and dogs.

Tom Courtway,
​Board Member Emeritus

​     Retired President of the University of Central Arkansas, Tom was one of the founders of the Chorus in 1988, and still finds time to provide advice as a Board Member Emeritus while continuing to sing with the chorus that he founded.​ He also continues teaching at UCA.

Phil Boudreaux,
Treasurer & 
Bass Section Leader

     Phil (Bass) is a charter member of the Chorus singing at every concert since that first performance of the National Anthem at a Wampus Cats high school football game in Fall 1998. He has served as the Bass Section Leader for the Chorus since Fall of 2009. He has also been a member of the Chorus Board as well as Treasurer since Spring 2013.

     Phil is a retired Attorney/Administrator and Lt. Colonel (USA).  He brings a lifetime of singing to the chorus having sung in school and church from a very early age.  A member of the 1967 Arkansas All-State Choir, Phil has also performed in such memorable Broadway musical as “Li'l Abner” and “Guys and Dolls”.  A former member of a barbershop quartet, Phil says he "enjoys the singing and fellowship associated with the Conway Men's Chorus."

David Loken,
​Tenor II Section Leader

     David just loves music. He says, “It fills my heart and soul. I have done lip sync to the songs that bring me onto singing. I even have done that on stage, but I was actually singing the song I was lip syncing. When I started singing for Church Choir, I found myself smiling inside and outside.”

     Now singing with the men's chorus since Spring 2019, David is making his musical mark here as a singer and serving as the newest section leader.
 
     David is a transplant to Conway, having moved here from South Bend, Indiana early in 2017. David says that he’s “kind of like a handyman around the house, done landscaping for a couple of businesses."  He says that he loves his family and the friends he has made during his few years living in Conway.
